His experience: A Grade Access Pty Ltd started up as a company in early 2014. The founder, Colin Haley has worked in the Building Maintenance Unit industry for over 22 years.
Colin started as an apprentice Fitter and Turner for E.W. Cox International in Melbourne where he gained a wealth of experience and knowledge in the drawing office, machine shop, fabrication area and finally the fitting area. After completing a post trade and advanced certificate in engineering, Colin was put in charge of the fitting, machining and coating of all the BMUs, gantries, lift platforms and special-order access and lifting equipment that were sent worldwide to the majority of the tallest and most iconic buildings. In Sydney, he was involved in Darling Park 2, both BMU and lift platform, Glebe Island bridge gantries, Sydney Harbour Bridge, Sydney Opera House, Aurora Place, World Tower and many more. Colin had involvement in all E.W Cox BMU’s built after 1992. Further, in 1999 Colin came to Sydney to install the largest BMU in the world. This unit weighed 120 tons and was capable of extending 45 meters and luffing the same height. As such, Colin has taken with him an immeasurable amount of experience in the BMU field.
Vishal Jaiswal
Electrical Engineer, A GRADE ACCESS
Vishal is a Senior Electrical Engineer with 10 years of experience since 2007 in field service, maintenance and installation of Building Maintenance Units (BMU). Vishal is well-travelled and experienced engineer. He has worked on a vast array of Building Maintenance Equipment, including:
• Installed BMUs on The Shard, London
• Commissioned unique machines on Federation Tower, Moscow
• Installed & Commissioned BMUs on Fiona Stanley Hospital, Perth
• Refurbishment of ANZAC Bridge maintenance gantry
• Sydney Harbour Bridge access system major upgrades
Chris Liolios
Manager QLD, A GRADE ACCESS
Chris is a fully qualified Electrical fitter mechanic with over twenty years of Industrial experience in Australia, United Kingdom and Canada. Skilled in performing a diverse range of electrical and mechanical installations and maintenance. He has specialised in the BMU industry for the last thirteen years servicing and installing BMU’s in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Adelaide as a supervisor for E.W.Cox International and as a Manager for A Grade Access.
Daryl Port
Mechanical Engineer, A GRADE ACCESS
After completing a Bachelor or Engineering (Mechanical), Daryl spent 6 years as a Design Engineer in the General Engineering and Petrochemical Industry before joining the Building Maintenance Unit manufacturer, E.W.COX International in 1998.
Daryl was a leading member of a specialist team responsible for developing and executing complex and unique façade access solutions for several significant and iconic projects completed around the globe. Projects Daryl worked on include Taipei 101, Shanghai World Financial Centre, and Aldar HQ.
Over 20 years in the Building Maintenance Unit industry, Daryl has accumulated vast experience, including working from sales concept and design stage right through to trouble shooting issues and providing solutions on existing machines. It is this knowledge and experience that Daryl now brings to the A Grade Access team to help further expand the engineering services that A Grade Access can offer.
